The company helps provide actionable insights to the world’s leading publishers, media companies and news websites that they can use to make decisions about the content to publish and promote on their sites. In August 2010, the company was spun off from Betaworks as a separate company. Chartbeat has been touted and critiqued as an alternative to Google Analytics for real-time data. In February 2016, Founding CEO Tony Haile announced he was resigning from the company after seven years as CEO. Long time COO John Saroff was named as his successor and is the current Chief Executive.
